Hello everyone! I am a very clumsy person and I am guilty of always dropping my phone :( Recently I dropped my phone again and broke my screen and LCD for the second time!! 😣  Luckily, I found this trustable iPhone repair service centre called LYK LCD Specialist :) I think that it'll be a good idea to share about my fuss-free experience with them as they have helped fixed my phone 2 times!! Seriously, strongly recommend them👍🏻

Here are some pictures of what happened to my poor phone when I spoiled it the second time ><

Before and After - repaired in less than 15 minutes!

Look how badly it was damaged the second time round I dropped my phone :((

What happens to the LCD when I press it😱😱😱

The first time I dropped my phone and smashed my screen, I was so frantic because I knew that that would cost at least a few hundred...  I googled for a repair centre and luckily found LYK LCD Specialist's Facebook page.

At that time it was around 9pm and I was already mentally prepared that I would have to travel down to their service centre the next day. To my surprise, I learned that they have a 24 HOURS DOOR-TO-DOOR Repair Service!!!

Yes, that's right, LYK LCD Specialist are able to travel to your doorstep, anytime, anywhere to fix your phone screen. 24 HOURS!!!😱

So I called them up and the technician arrived at my house at 11pm. By 11:15pm, my phone was as good as new!

Furthermore, their rates are actually quite affordable! It's actually much cheaper than those at other handphone shops and Sim Lim Square. Before I actually engaged their services the first time, I checked their reviews and testimonies on their website and they seem quite legitimate and reliable!

Also, their service was really effective. The technician was very experienced and took less than 15 minutes to replace my phone screen. For most services, they can repair it on the spot in 2-3 hours/less than a day too! When I was busybody and asked the technician a lot of questions about how he knows how to repair the phone so fast, he was very nice and answered all my questions HAHAHA :)

Just when you think their service can't possibly get any better, they have a  100 DAYS WARRANTY  on their repairs and spare parts!!

This is their extensive list of services!:

Very nice interior design

Comfortable resting area while they are fixing my phone!

Free refreshments 😝

The technician was very meticulous with my phone parts :)

The interior of an iPhone!

They took extra care not to damage my home button :)

After the repair of my screen, they helped me polish my phone too :)

Before (see all the blemishes?)

After (almost as good as new! *miracle*)

All fixed :)

LCD good as new!

In the event that your phone requires more serious repair, you may also visit their Express Mobile Repair Service Centre! Trust me, I am someone that has no sense of direction at all yet I was able to find my way relatively easily as it was only a 1 minute walk from Taiseng MRT Exit A.

Thank you for the effective repair!

I've actually heard horror stories of how some of my friends got scammed or got faulty replacements so I hope this blog post can help you out by introducing you to a scam-free, reliable and legitimate repair centre :) Good things must share hahaha

Let me know what were some of the worst experiences you have had in other mobile repair centres down in the comments section!

Hi everyone! As some of you may have known, I have officially started year 1 of my journey in Singapore Poly on 17th April and my course is the Diploma in Creative Writing for TV and New Media :)

Basically, my course specialises in writing across different media platforms and focuses on journalism and scriptwriting. We also learn how about photography and video editing and will eventually create and produce our own videos (comedies, documentaries, etc.)

This course is unique to Singapore Poly and as of now, the ELR2B2 is 11 points.

To be honest, I knew I could get into this course with no problem based on my academics via the normal way (JAE), but I opted for the EAE (Early Admission Exercise) instead and 'choped' a spot via a strenuous interview process hahaha. I'll be talking about the EAE process and why I chose it in a separate blog post around some time in June.

In this blog post, I will be comparing the poly route and JC route that most of us will have to face after secondary school :) It's also good for secondary 3 and 4 students now to have an aim of where to go after O levels as you will find more motivation to study harder!

I was inspired to write this when people asked me why I chose poly, considering that I had scored pretty well for my O levels. Just for your information, I scored L1R5 8 points, so it seemed illogical to my parents and some of my friends that I was apparently 'wasting my life' going to poly.😒

But the thing is, I knew right from the start that even if I had miraculously scored a perfect score for O levels, I still would choose to go to poly.

I know what I already want to do in the future.  I have a strong passion towards all things new media and I aspire to work in the media industry :) I am extremely certain that I want to work as a content producer. Even though it is tedious, I find joy in writing, filming and editing videos and sharing my work with others, hopefully inspiring them.

That's why when I found the 'perfect' course for me, I just knew that that was where I belonged!

So if you know what you want to work as in the future (not just so that you can earn a lot of money from that job) and there is a course suitable for you, poly is most likely the right choice for you!

I have been blogging and YouTubing for about 4 years+. I have been in love with the dramatic arts for nearly 9 years. That's how I know that my passion for the media industry is genuine. It is crucial to pick a course because you have a true undying passion for our course, and not just because you are in a 'phase'. A 'phase' can die off or change, but what you study in the next 3 years in poly would affect your future. Your university degree and/or job choices will be largely related to your field of study.

I personally also prefer the poly grading systems to the JC academic system. For me personally, I thought that it made more sense if a student's results were based on their continuous efforts, and not when they suddenly mug and cramp their studies for the major exams at the end.

How many of us have heard of wonder stories of students who suddenly did super well for O levels even though they have barely studied throughout their 4 years?

I also prefer projects as I feel like it is more similar to the working field. But of course, all these are my reasons why I chose Poly over JC.

Funny but true

If you are still confused over choosing Poly or JC,

Ask Yourself This:

Choose poly if:

1) You already know which area of field you are interested to work in in the future
2) You have a genuine passion for the course
3) You are adaptable to a different, independent learning style – lesser textbooks, more project-based.

Choose JC if:

1) If you are uncertain of your career options in the future
2) You are most comfortable with learning from textbooks and exams
3) You are willing to seriously tough it out for 2 years
4) You are definitely going to go to a university. (A levels are not good enough on its own)

I hope that by sharing this, it can help you out! Remember that regardless of whether you choose JC or Poly, it is YOUR choice. Ultimately, it is your future and you and only you – not your parents – should be the main decider of your path.

Let me know if this post has helped you out and share your thoughts too! Do you agree? Why or why not? You can even stay anonymous if you'd like :) Let's talk!

In a nutshell:

1) Revamp your wardrobe
-Be sure to dress comfortably for poly

2) Change up/ Improve your appearance
-New school, new you?

3) Makeup
-Confidence booster!

4) Macbook accessories
-Make yourself stand out
